Oh, really? (No way!)*

Used to mock someone who says smth obvious (when they expect you to be surprised or impressed by the news but you already know this info, just like everybody else).

Stan is standing in the living room. He is holding a copy of the new B.R.B. Dartin’s book. Kyle enters the room and shouts, “Guess what? Dartin has finally written the next book in the series!”

Oh, really?” Stan answers, hiding his copy of the said book behind his back.

“Yeah, and only a handful of people are in the know!”

No way!”

*Some common phrases may be used in a sarcastic way. It’s usually the context (or/and intonation) that gives away what the speaker actually means. Sarcastic words are not to be interpreted literally; they convey the opposite meaning of what seems to be said.
