Used to show your annoyance at someone who doesn’t pay attention to what you are saying or starts talking over you.

Helen was giving a presentation when she heard that her colleagues started whispering and giggling. She turned to them and asked, “Ladies, am I boring you?” The room fell silent.

*Some common phrases may be used in a sarcastic way. It’s usually the context (or/and intonation) that gives away what the speaker actually means. Sarcastic words are not to be interpreted literally; they convey the opposite meaning of what seems to be said.
